My Little Corner of the Internet

Hello internet friend!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I started this page in January 2026 after a growing disenchantment with the way the internet presently works — and the way in which I had given up using it.

I reflected that I could do better than give up. I could quietly, in my own way, begin to use the internet again in a way that inspired me. And so, I have collected here many different things I have come across that have helped or inspired me. The podcast that kept me laughing all through 2021 when life was oh, so low.

The musical artist I stumbled up whose songs resonated so closely with my life experiences that I listened in stunned silence.

The comedian who helped me realize I am indeed full of austic traits… this inkling first coming to light after a friend sent an incredibly short but helpful link about ducks.

Collected. Curated. Quiet. I share it with you in the hopes that you will find something new as well.

Design

I purposely wanted this site to be as quiet as possible. My brain is tired after so many years in this loud, shouty world. My design idea was: Craiglist but prettier. I feel the site achieves that.

There are no ads, and no affiliate links or monetization of any kind on this site. Wherever possible I try to stay away from the giant mega platforms that I feel have caused so much damage — to the world and our internet world — with their greed.

They could have pushed to create a better world. They did not.

For that reason you’ll find my book recommendations linked at certain sites only. Where you buy is up to you.

You’ll find podcasts linked at their RSS feeds. (Did you know you can download an entire podcast to your own computer? I didn’t until I was in my 40s. I like many others was held hostage by platforms, feeling like there was no alternative… but of course, there are many simpler ways.

Purpose

I feel that we’ve gotten away from sharing things the things that make us us. If we drop something into a social media feed it is swallowed up and forgotten almost immediately. Lost in the noise, carried on down the river of nothingness. I wanted this site to feel like a friend sharing some things they found with you. Not someone trying to trap you into becoming stuck in their ecosystem forever.

If you would like to be notified when I add something new you can subscribe to the RSS feed here: RSS.

Or you can just check back from time to time. The important thing is that I do NOT have your info and will not be spamming you with anything.

If you would like to say hello, you can do so the old fashioned boring way by sending me an email at mylittlecorneroftheinternet [at] proton.me. I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for visiting, internet friend. You are welcome back anytime.
